Hi! My name is Kayla Otahal and I teach 4^th grade Science and Social Studies at West Intermediate. I was born and raised in Calallen where I graduated from Calallen High School in 2007. In 2010, I earned my Bachelors Degree in Agricultural Services and Development from Tarleton State University in Stephenville, Texas.  I moved back to Calallen to begin my teaching career in Agua Dulce as an Agriculture Science Teacher while pursing my Master’s Degree from Texas A&M University-Kingsville, where I graduated in 2012. This will be my seventh year in the classroom and first year teaching 4^th grade.

I have two beautiful children, Clara and Calvin, and a husband, Todd, who is a farmer in the Robstown area. As a family we are actively involved with the agriculture industry. We farm row crops, (cotton, sorghum, and corn), raise Santa Gertrudis cattle, and are actively involved with Nueces County Junior Livestock Show.
