Hello and welcome! I am LaToya Sanchez and I will be teaching 7th grade Leadership and 8th grade College and Career Readiness/Dollars and Sense classes! This is my fourth year teaching and I am very excited about building my career with Calallen ISD! I knew I had a passion to teach the day I began writing on my mirror with washable markers and instructing my class that consisted of stuffed animals. 

I am a mother to three wonderful children, so completing online courses was a great fit for me. I completed online classes through Grand Canyon University, which provided me with the opportunity to work fulltime. I am a member of the Alpha Chi National Honor Society and graduated with a 4.0 GPA for both my bachelor's and graduate degree. I am certified to teach all Core Subjects 4-8 with a full endorsement in Structured English Immersion (PreK-12) and my graduate degree is in Educational Leadership.

I hope to spark an interest in future careers in my students as well as a hunger for learning.
