Welcome to the 2020-2021 school year!

As Superintendent of Schools, I would like to welcome everyone to the start of the 2020-2021 school year.  Without a doubt, the start of this school year will be much different than everyone is accustomed to.  Let me reassure our Calallen community that the District has worked tirelessly to plan for the upcoming year.  First, given the challenges COVID-19 has presented, we as District have spent countless hours developing detailed plans to address the health and safety of our students.  It is imperative that our community understands, that as a District we acknowledge the serious implications of this virus and are taking measures to ensure the well-being of students, staff and visitors to the best of our ability. 

Secondly, our educational goals for every student here at Calallen ISD remain the same.  We remain committed to providing all students with high quality instruction both virtually and face-to-face.  Our commitment to academic excellence and rigor will not change despite the challenges we face.  Calallen ISD realizes now, more than ever, that the success of our students in this ever-changing global society will depend on strong partnerships among students, school staff, parents/guardians and our community.  Together we will overcome the challenges before us, and our students will adapt in order to achieve academic excellence this school year!

Lastly, I ask that you remain vigilant in your efforts to stay informed about the inevitable changes that will occur throughout this upcoming school year. Please refer frequently to our www.calallen.org website for updated information.  Also, know that the District will communicate frequently with parents/guardians via text, email, Parentlink and various social media outlets in order to ensure that you are aware of important information.
