Calallen ISD is working to create an environment that keeps students, teachers, staff, and our community safe. While we understand that it is not possible to eliminate all risk of furthering the spread of COVID-19, there are many actions that we can take to help mitigate and reduce the risk to students, teachers, staff, and their families. Consistently implementing health and safety procedures is the best way to reduce the potential negative impact of COVID-19 on students' educational experiences. Calallen ISD will follow the recommended guidance from Texas Governor, Greg Abbott, Texas Education Commission Mike Morath, and other local, state, and federal agencies regarding response, prevention and mitigation efforts.
In order to ensure parents/guardians, students and staff are aware of the enhanced health and safety practices Calallen ISD is implementing, we developed a plan to help mitigate COVID-19 spread in our facilities. Please note that this is an ever-evolving situation, and the plan is subject to change as we receive additional guidance from the state or other mandating agencies.
