• Grades K-5 Summer School:

     

    Calallen ISD will be offering elementary summer school for students who require remediation in order to be promoted to the next grade level.  Parents of students who are required to attend have been notified by phone and/or letter mailed from student's home campus.  Please review summer school details below:

     

    Summer School Details:

     

    Dates:     

    July 12th - July 29th (Monday-Thursday only)

     

    Times:     

    9:0 a.m. - 3:30 p.m.

     

     

    Attendance:     

    Students who need 2 courses will be registered for both sessions

    Students needing 1 course will attend am or pm session as assigned

     

    Meals:     

    Provided free of charge

    Breakfast served 8:30 a.m. – 9:00 a.m.

    Lunch served 12:00 p.m. – 12:30 p.m.

     

    Transportation:     

    Available to those who qualify

    All instruction will be provided face-to-face, no virtual option

    Drop Off and Pick Up Procedures:                           

    Enter campus grounds through back entrance off of Wood River Drive.  After dropping off or picking up, parents/guardians will exit to East Riverview Street.

     

    Please Note:

     

    • Students will follow the normal student dress code as outlined in the Elementary Student Handbook.
    • Current health and safety guidelines will be followed.  Masks will be encouraged but optional.
    • The Student Code of Conduct will be enforced.  Behavior issues will not be tolerated. Students will receive one warning, followed by a single discipline referral.  If behaviors continue, the student will be removed from summer school, result in AUTOMATIC RETENTION.
    • No more than one absence is allowed without principal approval.  Students will be removed on their second absence, resulting in AUTOMATIC RETENTION.

     

    If you have any questions, please contact your child’s current campus office. Summer school staff will not be available in the designated offices until the first day of summer school.

     

  • Grades 6-12 Summer School:

     

    As the 2020-2021 school year has come to an end, the district is currently planning for summer programming.  At this time, we ask that you please review your child’s grades and course credits in Skyward Family Access.   If your student failed one or more courses, please register for summer school using registration forms available in Skyward Family Access.  Please register as soon as possible to assist in ensuring adequate staff and facility space are available. 

     

    Summer school is required by Calallen ISD School Board Policy (EIE LOCAL) for students who do not meet promotion criteria and/or attendance requirements.  Failure to attend summer school as assigned will result in an AUTOMATIC RETENTION. In person registration is not permitted.  Information regarding summer school for grades 6-12 is below.
