Session 1 - June 5-15, 2023

Session 2 - June 19-29, 2023

*CMS students grades 6-8 will need to attend all 4 weeks

*CHS students will be assigned a schedule depending on course/credits needed

ALL CLASSES are MONDAY through THURSDAY

Times:     

Morning Session:        8:00am - 12:00pm (Arrival time 8:00am)

Afternoon Session:     12:00pm - 4:00pm (Arrival time 12:00pm)

Meals:     Provided free of charge to all

Breakfast served: 7:45am – 8:15am     

Middle School Lunch served:  11:30am – 12:00pm

High School Lunch served:  12:00pm - 12:30pm

Transportation:    Bus transportation will be available to Middle and High School students

Drop-off Location:    Drop-off location will be in the back of the school.  Student will be going through metal detectors and follow morning procedures

Cost:  Free of Charge

General Overview:

• All Face to Face (no virtual) students will be required to attend face to face to get credit.
• Available to enrolled Calallen ISD students only. No charge for this year.
• Calallen ISD Food Service Department will provide breakfast and lunch.
• Transportation will be provided for students utilizing centralized pick-up sites.
• Dress codes will be enforced as written in campus handbooks.
• Discipline violations will not be tolerated.  Students will be dismissed without credit. 
• No more than 2 absences will be permitted

*** Credit Recovery:

• Maximum grade of 70 can be earned per course
• Only Core Subjects will be offered
• 2-3 classes per student maximum (depending on availability)
• Session times per student will depend on courses/credits needed and course availability
• Students will be notified of individualized schedules on their first

*** End-of-Course Retest Dates: Calallen High School 8:15am
     End-of-Course reviews are scheduled for June 5th - June 15th.  Students needing to test will receive a letter providing specific dates and times.

2023 Elementary Summer School Learning: Grades K - 5

Calallen ISD will be offering a summer program for elementary students who require attendance credit or remediation to be promoted to the next grade level. Parents of students who are required to attend have been notified by letter regarding their specific needs.  Please review the general summer learning session details below:

Meals:  Provided free of charge

Breakfast served 7:30am – 8:00am

Lunch served 11:30am – 12:30pm

Transportation:  Available to those who qualify.
