I currently teach Biology and Chemistry. I have been married for 21 years, and I am the mom to 2 teenage sons. I grew up in northeast Texas and now live in south Texas due to a job opportunity for my husband. Our family has been very happy since the move and are proud to identify as south Texans and Calallen Wildcats.
I began my professional career after graduating from TAMU and completing a dietetics internship. I worked for 15 years as a clinical dietitian in the hospital setting. I enjoyed working in hospitals, educating patients and their families, and being a part of the patient's healthcare team. A few years ago, I decided that I would like to change careers to teaching. I completed an alternative certification program and I was fortunate enough to work for Bishop CISD. The 2018-2019 school year will be my first at Calallen High School. As a parent with students in the district, I fully understand the high expectations of Calallen ISD and I plan for my students to meet those expectations. I am looking forward to a great year.
