Hello, my name is Wendy Genz. I teach 1st Grade at Woodriver Elementary.   I graduated from Texas A&M University. WHOOP! I hold certifications in Special Education EC-12th grade and General Education EC-4th grade.  This will be my 10th year teaching, and this is my 7th year teaching at Wood River. I taught Kindergarten for 5 years, and this is my second year teaching 1st Grade. I was fortunate to stay home when my children were young, but continued to stay involved in education through volunteering(both through my church and Wood River).  I volunteered at Wood River throughout the years that my two daughters attended.  I began substitute teaching and the opportunity to apply for a Kindergarten position came up.  I loved Wood River, and needed an excuse to still be apart of it even though my daughters were finished.
