This is my 26th year in education and my 8th year at Magee. Of these years, 23 have been spent teaching math and science. I have two children that attend Calallen High School and one that is in the United States Air Force. My husband is also employed by the district as a high school computer science teacher and coach.
Because I am the oldest of 7 children, I have basically been a teacher my whole life . Needless to say, I did a lot of helping out at home. The reason I decided to become a teacher goes back to one of my sister's difficulties in school. I watched her struggle throughout her educational career and decided I wanted to be in the classroom to work with students who may be like her.
I have been in many teaching situations. I have been self-contained, teams of two, teams of three, and departmentalized. I have taught in Pawnee, Orange Grove, Mathis, George West, and Tilden. Having had the privilege of teaching in these districts has given me the opportunity to work with and learn from amazing people. This knowledge has helped make me the teacher I am today.
