I love teaching science! I have been with Calallen family for three years. Prior, I taught 6th grade science at the middle school level at the Corpus Christi Independent School District. I enjoy telling stories to my students about my past experiences as a nurse and as a student researcher at Rutgers University in Camden, New Jersey. Under the awesome tutelage of Dr. Dennis Josylnn and Dr. Patrick Slavic who patented the blue genghem stain which turned the mosquitoes larvae blue. They were able to successfully track mosquitoes fifty miles away for an important study about the West Nile Virus to aid the CDC. It was a great opportunity and awakened a passion for me to one day further my studies in biophysics. I am looking forward to another exciting year to teach our Magee scientists!
