I began teaching at a private school in the Rio Grande Valley where I taught grades 2-7 for one year. Then I moved to Houston and taught at Galena Park Elementary (5th grade) for five years. After taking time off for my children, I returned to teaching in the Clear Creek ISD (NASA area) district. There I taught fourth grade for three years. After that we moved to Corpus Christi where, happily, I was hired by Calallen ISD. I taught third grade at East Primary for two years and then moved to CMS. Teaching at CMS has given me some of the most rewarding and happy years of my career!
I was born in Houston, Texas and graduated from James Madison High School. After high school, I attended the University of Texas at Austin and received a degree in History. After that I worked in Campus Ministry with Inter-Varsity Christian Fellowship. Then I returned to Houston and began my teaching career. I am currently married and the proud mom of two grown children, Joshua and Tiffany. Some things I love are doing music at my church and playing with my cat, Smokey.
