Experience:

I received my bachelor of science in Education at Texas A&M International University, specializing in Special Education and General Education.

I have been a teacher for 22 years.  I started teaching at Calallen High School for one year, then moved to Calallen Middle School for the last 6 years.  

My personal goal has always been to empower my students and help them achieve their goals.  Mutual respect and trust builds the foundation for my relationship with my students.  Therefore, my message to my students will always be that you should believe that, through your endurance and abilities, you will fulfill your destiny.  The outcome ultimately is in your hands.

Bio:

I am originally from Bismarck, North Dakota.  I lived in Mexico City, where I learned to speak Spanish.  I am a mother of two children.  My son is 24 years old and works in San Antonio.  My daughter is 21 years old and a college student at Del Mar College, where she is pursuing a career in court reporting. 

My first career was in the nursing field.

I love the weather in Corpus Christi because I can enjoy the outdoors.  I especially enjoy going to the beach, swimming, and sailing.  My other hobbies are photography, dancing, crafts, making jewelry, and watching the Wildcats play football.
