BM - Vocal Performance, TAMUK (2001)
All level Music Certification - TAMUCC (2002)
I was born and raised in Kingsville, Texas. In High School I was very active in Choir and Piano competitions. I was a member of the Texas All State Choir in 1991. I went to college and majored in music at Sam Houston State University. While there, I sang in the SHSU Chorale and we performed at the Texas Music Educator's Association Convention and the Music Educator's National Conference in Kansas City. I then transfered back to Texas A&M University Kingsville and received my degree in Vocal Performance. Shortly after, I acquired my teaching certificate from Texas A&M University Corpus Christi. I have been teaching Music and Choir in South Texas since 2001. I teach Choir because I love Choral music, and I get to see students gain confidence and experience joy through singing. I also have a husband and three children, two dogs, two cats and two birds. I enjoy spending time outside and hanging out with my family and friends.
