    Board Duties

The Board of Trustees is elected by the citizens to be legally responsible for the education of the children in the district. The Board ensures that the District’s mission of “Commitment to Excellence-Success for All” is accomplished. The Board operates within the legal parameters of the state and federal constitutions, statues, courts, and administrative agencies. Trustees adopt a budget which is necessary to maintain and operate the schools, levy taxes to support the budget, and submit bond issues to the citizens of the district for construction of school facilities. The Board of Trustees also employs the Superintendent as its Chief Executive Officer who makes recommendations on other staff personnel.
