Welcome parents, students and community members!  My name is Harmony Salinas and I am the school counselor here at Wood River Elementary.

I attended Calallen ISD all 12 years of schooling and I am proud to be a lifelong Wildcat. Go Cats!

After graduating, I attended Texas A&M University- Corpus Christi and obtained a bachelors degree in criminal justice.  Soon after, I received my teaching certification and spent 10 years at Magee Elementary in a variety of roles including: PE paraprofessional, reading lab paraprofessional, 4th grade teacher, and 5th grade teacher.  In May of 2017, I completed my masters of education degree in school counseling. This is my 6th year at Wood River Elementary and my 16th at Calallen ISD.  I am excited to see what this new year will bring!! 

When I'm not being a school counselor, you can find me gardening or hanging out at our family ranch in Utopia, TX.  My favorite things include stationary, coffee, and Harry Potter!
